CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is an emergency life-saving technique and procedure for a person whose heart has stopped or is no longer breathing. It can maintain circulation and breathing until emergency medical help arrives by keeping oxygenated blood circulating in the body, which can help prevent brain and organ damage. CPR consists of 2 stages: chest compressions (forceful pressing on the chest to stimulate the heart) and artificial respiration(mouth-to-mouth rescue breathing). It's a skill gained in a first-aid training course.
